Enhance employee engagement by hosting a Shoreline Cleanup
This year, more than 55,000 Canadians are registered to clean over 1,800 shorelines through the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, presented by Loblaw Companies Limited. A conservation initiative of WWF-Canada and the Vancouver Aquarium, the cleanup has grown to become the largest direct-action environmental program in Canada.
Each year, passionate employees across the country take action against shoreline litter by organizing cleanups with their workplaces. There’s still time this year to take advantage of both the environmental and business benefits of organizing your very own corporate cleanup!
Get to know your colleagues
Participating in a Shoreline Cleanup can help build new – and forge stronger – relationships with your colleagues, break down communication barriers and improve collaboration between workplace teams, departments, divisions, and committees.
Expand your skill set
Looking to develop your leadership, organizational, and communications skills? Becoming a site coordinator will help you to successfully enhance all 3!
Get recognized, internally and externally!
Organizing a corporate cleanup will not only make you a star with your colleagues and supervisors, but it can also increase your company’s profile and recognition.
Enhance employee engagement
By rallying colleagues together for a corporate cleanup, you will be leading employee engagement in and out of the office. Higher employee engagement can contribute to increased employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention, leading to higher profitability for the organization.
Feel good about your impact
By hosting a shoreline cleanup, you’ll get to feel good about doing your part to protect shoreline species and habitats – and you’ll be contributing to a broader movement to protect and preserve our country’s waterways.
So get out there, get active, and do your part to help make our shorelines cleaner, healthier and safer by registering for a corporate cleanup today. ‘Water’ you waiting for? Get started by visiting shorelinecleanup.ca.
