WWF-Canada celebrates 2025 Corporate Partnership award recipients

TORONTO, Oct. 2, 2025 — Whether they’re embracing operational sustainability, investing in ecosystem restoration, protecting marine species or fighting biodiversity loss one step at a time, the recipients of WWF-Canada’s 2025 Corporate Partnership Awards have shown tremendous leadership in the effort to protect and conserve nature in Canada.

This year’s awards were presented at WWF-Canada’s annual Corporate Partnerships Summit on Sept. 23, an event generously sponsored by Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. The honourees represent diverse approaches to conservation, from transforming business practices to inspiring consumer behaviour and mobilizing employees. Together, they highlight the power of partnership in achieving WWF-Canada’s mission to Regenerate Canada.

Nature & Community Leadership Award – Aviva Canada
Aviva Canada is celebrated for its long-term commitment to nature-based solutions that address both biodiversity loss and climate change. By investing in community-led restoration efforts through WWF-Canada’s Nature and Climate Grant Program and weaving sustainability into its corporate culture through Climate Day events, Aviva demonstrates how corporate action can strengthen both ecosystems and communities.

Sustainable Impact Award – RBC Foundation
The RBC Foundation is honoured for its enduring support of environmental protection and restoration. Their funding has advanced marine species protection, freshwater conservation, and native plant distribution. Beyond philanthropy, their strategic vision has made a lasting contribution to a more sustainable future for people and wildlife in Canada.

Brand Champion Award – Tide and Walmart Canada (#TurnToCold Campaign)
Tide and Walmart Canada are recognized for their collaborative Earth Month campaign, #TurnToCold. Celebrating Procter & Gamble Canada’s 15 years of partnership with WWF-Canada, this initiative highlights the impact of long-term collaboration on consumer behaviour and climate action.

Panda Spirit Award – Scott Kirby, TD Insurance
Scott Kirby of TD Insurance receives the Panda Spirit Award for his passion and personal leadership. For three consecutive years, he has rallied colleagues to form the largest-ever CN Tower Climb for Nature teams, making TD Insurance the top fundraiser and mobilizing thousands to support WWF-Canada’s work to protect and restore nature.
“These awards recognize the extraordinary ways our partners are helping regenerate Canada’s ecosystems,” Kathrin Majic, WWF-Canada’s Senior Vice-president of Development, said. “Their commitment proves that when business and community leaders step up, real change for nature is possible.”
