The Eco-Leadership Journey

Building skills for the future

WWF-Canada and Chantiers jeunesse are working together to provide unique opportunities for youth to make a difference for the environment. Develop your leadership and environmental skills with the Eco-Leadership Journey.

The Eco-Leadership Journey offers the opportunity to carry out a project with significant environmental impact. Thanks to  WWF-Canada and Chantiers jeunesse, you will be supported and funded to bring your project to life.

Make a difference with the Eco-Leadership Journey, which supports youth between 18 and 30 committed to the environment. From the analysis of the social and environmental impact, to the creation of the budget, including the communication plan and the best way to engage your community, our team will support you at each stage of your project so that you can develop your eco-leader skills and bring your idea to life.

Engaging in this program involves at least 120 hours of volunteering.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application
  • Have Canadian citizenship, permanent residence, or be recognized as a protected person in Canada Project details:

Cleanup projects

Remove litter to help create healthy habitats for wildlife and communities that depend on them. Lead a cleanup in your community with the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup protocol.

You can organize a cleanup in your neighborhood, in a forest, on a beach, or even on campus. The possibilities are endless.

Urban biodiversity projects

Projects that involve one or more initiative to create or restore habitat that supports or stimulated the growth of biodiversity in the city.

Have a restoration idea for your neighborhood? Maybe you can create a space for native plant and species right in your backyard.

Education on biodiversity projects

Projects that enhance or promote urban biodiversity through education or public awareness.

School workshops, science activities, projects involving educational or awareness-raising tools and more.
