WWF Walks Toronto’s Waterfront

Written by Sarah Winterton, Director, Nature in Economy and Community
This summer, WWF is piloting walking tours in downtown Toronto. From July 7 to August 27, every Tuesday and Thursday (weather dependent), we’re inviting you to join us at Roundhouse Park – across from the CN Tower and in front of Steam Whistle Brewery – for a one hour adventure along Toronto’s waterfront.

Whether you’re a resident or visitor looking for things to do in Toronto, come discover the wilderness of the city – hidden in plain sight. Learn something new and find out about the important species in this urban space. You’ll hear about a history of environmental loss, and how some key species are making a comeback thanks to conservation work. At the end of the walk, we’ll also let you know how you can help nature thrive in your own community.
Suitable for all ages, the walks will start in front of Steam Whistle Brewery and follow Toronto’s waterfront to the west for 1.5 km. Whether you’re keen to learn more about species, or you want to hear conservation success stories, we have you covered with our unique urban nature hike.
