Tiger population growing in India

A new tiger count in India, in which WWF staff participated, indicates that the tiger population has increased by 225 tigers.  This is excellent news in the country that is home to half of the world’s remaining wild tigers.
In other good news, a tiger farmer suspected of being a major figure in Vietnam’s illegal tiger trade has been arrested and sentenced to three years in prison, dealing a blow to the global trade in tiger parts.
