Like good news? You’ll love Good Nature!

Nature is in need right now. More than ever. But who is answering the call?
Good people, that’s who. And there are more of them than you might think. That’s why Megan Leslie, WWF‑Canada’s president and CEO, will be chatting with folks across Canada (and one from the other side of the world) who are proving that hope for nature isn’t just alive — it’s thriving.
Good Nature with Megan Leslie is WWF-Canada’s new video podcast, and it celebrates both the good we find in nature and the good‑natured people working to protect it.
At a time when many of us feel overwhelmed by bad news about endangered species, habitat loss and climate change, these conversations will shine a light on those good people who are happily taking on these environmental challenges.

“I know as well as anybody that there’s a whole lot going on the world right now, and that a lot of people are having trouble finding hope about the environment,” says Megan. “But in my work, I have the joy of meeting all kinds of extraordinary people who just won’t give up on protecting and restoring nature.”
Each Good Nature episode features a curious and candid conversation with a person whose passion for nature shines brightly: conservation scientists, Indigenous leaders, authors, artists, activists and everyday champions who are facing these threats to nature head-on.
“I think if more people could meet these folks and learn about what they do, that could bring a little more hope into the world,” Megan adds.
What can you expect? We’ll explore topics ranging from “how to turn a good idea into a global movement” and “why we need Indigenous-led conservation now more than ever” to the fact that, technically, “there are no such things as weeds.” All of them will leave you feeling inspired and hopeful.
We hope you’ll join us for new episodes of Good Nature with Megan Leslie every two weeks starting on March 26, 2026, where we hear from the co-founder of Earth Hour on the worldwide event’s 20th anniversary. Listen wherever you get your podcasts!
(And while you’re waiting, have a listen to season 1 of our species-forward audio podcast, This is Wild, with episodes ranging from wolves and salmon to fin whales and monarch butterflies.)
