Help kids run all over the place for nature. Here’s how

Who runs the world? Kids. They are doing it this May and June through the 2nd annual Kids’ Run for Nature, with proceeds going to WWF-Canada to support our conservation programs.
Here are four ways to be part of this exciting 1K/5K event for all ages:

1. Join in the fun and run for nature

This year, Kids’ Run for Nature event has grown from one to seven locations. Hundreds of runners and their families are expected to join the run in support of wildlife.
Register now to bring your family to any of the seven parks hosting runs between May 14 and June 12.
May 14:  Trinity College School, Port Hope, ON
June 5:   Mill Pond Park, Richmond Hill, ON
June 12: Withrow Park, Toronto, ON
June 12: Etienne Brule Park, Toronto, ON
June 12: Pine Cliff Park, Streetsville ON
June 12: Varsity Stadium, Toronto, ON
June 12: Confederation Park, Calgary, AB

2. Support future generations by donating online

Kids’ Run for Nature founders Jasmine de Pencier and Jett Jardeleza-Toole, both 11, need your help to reach their fundraising goal. Can’t make it to a run? You can still help by supporting the runners and WWF-Canada’s conservation efforts by making a donation to the Kids’ Run for Nature.

4. Host your own run

If a run isn’t planned for your local park, get your community together to make a difference for wildlife in Canada. Team leader families – committed parents and children interested in engaging with friends, neighbours, teachers, schools and other members of their community – are needed to bring the Kids’ Run for Nature to parks across Canada.
