Canada's Clean 50

This week, I can’t help but see how far we have come.  It has been an inspiring week.  Delta Management Group, with input from a team of experts & Corporate Knights announced Canada’s “Clean 50”; 50 Outstanding Contributors to Clean Capitalism.

From over 300 nominations, 50 individuals who are leading change, championing innovation, driving sustainable solutions and truly changing our world for the better are being recognized!  Congratulations to everyone and heartfelt thank you for your amazing leadership, persistence and good solid hard work.
A special shout out goes to our very own leader, Gerald Butts, as well as our corporate partner leaders; Lloyd Bryant, Tom Heintzman and Andreas Souvaliotis!  As WWF’s President and CEO, Gerald is championing visionary and transformative initiatives focused on climate, energy, freshwater and oceans!
Our corporate partner leaders are also contributing greatly to the sustainability journey.  Lloyd Bryant, from HP, co founded Electronics Product Stewardship Canada helping to ensure over 140,000 tonnes of e-waste is collected and safely recycled.  Tom Heintzman created Bullfrog Power; now a 50 person organization that provides Canadians with the opportunity to support the growth and development of renewable energy.  Andreas Souvaliotis has created new and innovative ways to encourage behavior change by offering Canadians incentives through Air Miles for Social Change.
And to make this week even better, this is the recognition that keeps on working to drive change.  These nominees will gather at the Clean50 Summit and spend a day working together to tackle specific issues and come up with solutions.  So this recognition will lead to 50 Great Ideas and even more leadership and action!
