Don’t let monarchs

disappear

forever

Help protect monarch butterflies and other important species today and receive a 2027 wildlife calendar with our thanks.

Every monarch butterfly begins life on a single milkweed plant. But today, the milkweed they depend on is disappearing due in large part to herbicides.

Without milkweed, monarch butterflies cannot complete their life cycle.

Fall is the ideal time to sow milkweed seeds. It’s also a critical season for restoring the habitat that monarchs depend on when they return to Canada next spring.

With decades of experience conserving species at risk, WWF‑Canada works across communities, schools and landscapes to plant native plants and restore habitats where monarchs and other important species can thrive.

Keep one of nature’s greatest migrations alive

Each year, Monarch butterflies complete one of the longest migrations of any insect, traveling up to an incredible 5,000 kilometres.

Each adult butterfly lives for two to five weeks, except for the migrating generation, which lives up to nine months through the fall and winter.

When you donate $35+ or become a monthly donor, we’ll send you a 2027 WWF-Canada wildlife calendar as our thanks to you. Filled with breathtaking wildlife photography, it’s a year-long reminder of the wonders you’re helping protect.

*Calendars will be mailed while quantities last.

Together, we can help transform the future for monarch butterflies.
