Year of the Tiger media briefing to address wild tiger status worldwide

The briefing comes as many Asian countries prepare to celebrate Year of the Tiger beginning Sunday, Feb. 14 and WWF begins a year-long tiger campaign. An estimated 3,200 tigers are left in the wild and their numbers are declining from a combination of poaching, habitat loss, poorly planned development and illegal trafficking.
