Wind Power on a Roll
Europe has been driving the wind power revolution. Over the last seven years, the EU has added 47,000 MW of new wind energy compared to just 9,600 MW of coal and only 1,200 MW of nuclear.
Canada is a late-comer to the wind party, but we did manage to put up 386 MW last year, and we’re expecting to build 700 MW this year. And once the turbine manufacturers gear up (creating great new green jobs in the process), we should be ready to roll.
