Earth Hour is about uniting for one cause and it was powerful to see our municipal, provincial and federal leaders come together tonight in support of Earth Hour.

8:45pm LED lights have lit the stage for Pulse Energy’s Damir Hot – two-time Canadian yoyo champion and thirteenth in the world! This guy travels with a special briefcase full of yoyos and puts on an amazing show. He’s even promised to teach me the basics!

8:50pm Though many of the lights are on in the heart of Vancouver’s entertainment district, people at the Earth Hour booth are telling us they’ve switched everything off at home and wish more lights were out downtown!

9:10pm The party’s still going strong along Granville street, but I’m off to see lights out in other parts of the city. Just walked by the Mayor, an avid cyclist, as he got ready to head out on his bike – he’s walking the talk on Earth Hour!
