Thinking outside the (big) box: Finding ‘green’ gifts for loved ones

I thought about the people I’m buying for, and an activity that they enjoy. I then brainstormed ideas about how I could enjoy that activity with them, since we can never find time to be together in the first place! My goal was spending time over money and minimizing the stuff while maximizing the experience.

It was a pretty fun exercise as I realized that my loved ones have some really weird and funny activities they enjoy! How do you buy for someone who just loves systematizing information?! I came up with buying a big puzzle and have a puzzle party (with all local food and wine, of course!). Another one of my friends LOVES dancing and making movies, so I’m going to spend an evening filming a music video with her (Don’t worry, we won’t publish it!).

By using a little bit of creativity, and making some time in a hectic life for what’s really important, you can have a wonderful holiday, share some love and be good to the environment.
