Position Description

We are seeking a specialist with strong skills in email marketing and online fundraising, internally referred to as Specialist, Digital Conversions. The right candidate has demonstrated a mastery of both the technical and marketing aspects of digital conversions. 

In this role, you will design, build, monitor and optimize WWF-Canada’s email deployments and online donation campaigns. 

The ideal candidate is focused on end-user experiences and is a curious innovator with experience in split testing and analytics. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives on collaboration, data-driven decision making and working through every stage of email marketing campaigns.

Solutions-oriented, approachable and with demonstrated technical aptitude, you will play a pivotal role within our national communications and media, fundraising and conservation teams, working closely with colleagues responsible for writing digital communications. Your role will be technical production, analytics, implementation and optimization. 
 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, deploy, report on and optimize multiple email fundraising and awareness campaigns
• Advise on and set up segmentation and personalization of emails to maximize engagement and conversions
• Manage email communications calendar and coordinate campaign timing and email deployment volume
• Leverage tests of email templates, subject lines, timing and content to get actionable results
• Design and develop responsive email templates that are optimized for a variety of email platforms and browsers; perform browser compatibility and email deliverability tests
• Maintain list hygiene and deliverability rates
• Find and capitalize on opportunities to grow email list
• Design, build and optimize general and campaign donation pages
• Provide regular reports on email and donation-form performance along with strategic recommendations
• Create compelling landing pages to support fundraising and conservation goals
• Develop and implement improvements to processes and team interactions to increase efficiency and effectiveness of our efforts
• General quality assurance and debugging, image sourcing/editing and copy management
• All work will happen in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, primarily fundraising and conservation teams
 

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum four years of experience in digital marketing, online fundraising or advocacy or ecommerce and customer relationship management
• Post-secondary qualifications, preferably in digital marketing
• Deep experience with various email marketing and online analytics platforms. Experience with Luminate Online considered a strong asset
• Experience building responsive HTML templates and working with CSS/HTML in the context of email design
• Basic graphic design skills
• Awareness of CASL standards
• Comfort dealing with the technical aspects of digital conversion
• Strong project coordination background with track record of managing multiple projects within given timelines and in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for digital innovation
• Target and success-driven
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset
 

Other Information

This role can be based out of either Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, or Halifax.
