Position Description
The Senior Manager, Digital Communications is a high-energy, organized and creative people and product manager operating in a dynamic work environment, responsible for digital communications strategies and the platforms on which they are delivered. In this role you will manage a team of specialists, lead the digital communication strategies, and own the platforms needed to help achieve WWF-Canada’s conservation and fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of digital communication specialists responsible for creating and publishing digital content.
- Manage and optimize the digital communication strategies and platforms of the organization, including websites, email marketing services, search (SEM & SEO), online retailing, paid digital media, and any others necessary to achieve the aims of the organization.
- Capitalize on all opportunities to include strong and relevant digital components in WWF-Canada’s communications.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the communications and media team and other departments in the development of digital strategies, the creation and execution of digital campaigns and timely delivery of effective ad hoc content and features.
- Optimize the organization’s digital audience, technology and content to advance our aims.
- Use data from Google Analytics and other platforms as available to inform strategic and tactical decisions.
- Provide thought leadership and functional expertise to evolve digital best practices across departments.
- Work with third-party advertising/marketing agencies to ensure all digital ad campaigns are optimized and set up for accurate measurement of success.
- Be aware of and evaluate new technologies, tools and products that WWF-Canada can leverage.
- Identify top-notch vendors, professionals and partners as needed to accomplish goals, and lead their work.
- Ensure all use of budgets maximize value from each dollar spent to achieve stated goals.
- Ensure timelines are set and met to achieve goals.
- Ensure digital communications meet accessibility standards.
- Ensure all platforms and tools meet WWF-Canada guidelines, requirements and standards.
What We Are Looking For
- A relevant post-secondary degree or diploma plus four years of relevant experience (with at least 2 years in the management of people).
- Experience in project coordination with a track record of managing multiple projects within given timelines and budgets and in a fast-paced, changing environment; ability to guide others to do the same.
- Hands-on and action-oriented with a willingness and desire to take initiative, think critically and be a creative problem solver that can execute on your own and via others.
- Audience analytics as well as analyzing and reporting on campaign performance to inform decisions.
- Deep experience in email marketing, web publishing, SEO, AdWords, digital display campaigns and Google analytics, including working with third-party advertising/marketing agencies to ensure campaigns are optimized and set up for accurate measurement of success.
- Creating and managing digital communications calendars.
- Adobe Photoshop.
- HTML, CSS and various CMSs.

This is a 13-month full-time contract position based in Toronto.
