Outreach Volunteers Needed – Calgary & Edmonton
In partnership with REEL Canada, WWF-Canada is hosting three screenings of The Whale to audiences of new Canadians, followed by a Q&A led by WWF’s Dr. Peter Ewins (Lead Specialist, Species Conservation). WWF will have information tables set up at each screening where we will invite people to sign up to connect with WWF opportunities (such as: Great Canadian Shoreline Clean Up). Our outreach volunteers will help man these tables.

Start & End Times:
Calgary: 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Edmonton: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Duties:
Liaising with general public, answering questions about WWF programs, inviting people to sign up, disseminating information
Training/Orientation:
Review of tasks will be conducted by Dr. Ewins prior to the event.
Experience and Skills:
Since the audience members will be new Canadians, volunteers should be aware they will be interacting with people for whom English may not be their first language and/or who may have limited English skills.
