Media Advisory: Teams climb 1,776 stairs for WWF-Canada
Many companies, like Canada Life and Lafarge, have entered numerous teams to do their part to help fight climate change and to encourage team building among their employees. Other teams have entered as a great way to have fun with friends and support WWF-Canada.
Who: More than 2,000 individuals in teams of four to seven will climb 1,776 stairs of Canada’s National Tower and help WWF-Canada fight climate change.
Interviews can be arranged with climb participants and WWF-Canada staff
What: The 20th Annual Canada Life CN Tower Climb for WWF-Canada
Where: CN Tower (301 Front Street West, Toronto)
Media – please check in at the media table located just inside the entrance of the CN Tower to arrange interviews and for access to the Tower.
When: Thursday, April 15, 2010
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Ribbon Cutting 6:00 p.m.
Why: This is one of the few chances to climb the CN Tower. It is an opportunity to have fun with friends and co-workers while supporting the conservation work of WWF-Canada. It is expected that this year’s climb will raise $1.2 million to help fight climate change – the biggest environmental threat to our planet.
