YOUR
LASTING
LOVE OF
NATURE

The choices we make today shape the future of nature, for both wildlife and people.

In the last 50 years, wildlife populations in Canada have fallen by 10 per cent, on average, with declines across every species group we track. This is nature’s warning light that we need to act. The choices we make today to safeguard nature will decide the future of wildlife and people.

Including a gift to WWF-Canada in your will is a powerful commitment to nurturing a healthier future for wildlife, habitats and communities in Canada and around the world. You can take a leading and lasting role and build a legacy that quite literally lives on, seen and felt for generations to come.

Your lasting love of nature

When Barbara Daniels moved from Toronto to Vancouver in 1960, the long-time WWFCanada donor says it “opened up a new awareness of nature” for her. She was delighted to find that a short walk from her new home was a verdant woodland, the rolling Capilano River and happily wandering black bears. “In these past fifty years, it has become my resolve to be aware of this vital environment,” she says. But that awareness has grown into something more: a realization that taking action for nature now is also an investment in its future.

For Barbara, the work of WWF-Canada “broadened the horizon beyond B.C. to the lives and plight of creatures globally” and inspired her to support nature with a gift in her will. By giving to WWF-Canada, Barbara’s resolve will resonate across generations.

YOUR IMPACT ON THE FUTURE OF WILDLIFE

By including WWF-Canada in your will or estate plans, you’re investing in science-based conservation that restores habitats, protects species at risk and safeguards nature for generations to come.

Supporting Indigenous-led conservation

Studies show Indigenous-managed lands boast higher levels of biodiversity. Your legacy gift will help continue WWF-Canada support of First Nations, Inuit and Métis in the stewardship of their traditional lands and waters.

Leveraging nature-based climate solutions

Nature has the power to both capture and sequester carbon while providing habitats for wildlife. A legacy investment will support the restoration of lost or degraded lands and shorelines, improve habitats and help fight climate change.

Advocating and partnering for success

With your legacy support, WWF-Canada will continue building on our 50-year record of working alongside communities, governments, and businesses to drive meaningful actions that deliver real results for nature and people.
