A Donor-Advised Fund is the fastest-growing giving method and a simple, tax-efficient and flexible way to support the causes you care about. A DAF is a charitable giving account established at a public foundation, known as a DAF sponsor. When you make a charitable contribution of cash, stocks, securities or other assets to the DAF, you receive an immediate tax receipt from your DAF sponsor. From there, you can recommend grants to charities like WWF-Canada. Many Canadian donors use DAFs to give strategically, manage tax planning and simplify their philanthropic giving.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my DAF grant? Your tax receipt is immediately issued by your DAF sponsor. Note that you will not receive a receipt from WWF-Canada.
Most DAF sponsors allow you to include a designation or note with your grant recommendation. When gifts made to WWF-Canada are $10,000 or more, you can direct your support to a specific WWF-Canada conservation program, area or species or choose to make an unrestricted gift to . Unrestricted gifts of any dollar amount allow us to respond quickly to the most urgent conservation needs, ensuring your support has the greatest possible impact. Can I set up recurring grants through my DAF? Many DAF providers allow recurring or scheduled grants. Check with your DAF sponsor for available options.
