Blue Carbon Finance

There is a large gap between the funding needed and the funding available to protect and restore Canada’s coastal ecosystems. This report looked at existing finance tools to explore how the development and implementation of innovative conservation finance approaches can help bridge that gap.

Blue Carbon Policy

Unless protected through legislation and policy, blue carbon ecosystems risk being further degraded by business-as-usual industrial projects and shoreline development. To protect and manage blue carbon ecosystems, we must first understand the law and policy landscape in Canada as it relates to blue carbon.
