Canada needs a Green Recovery

The federal government is about to give the Canadian economy a multi- billion-dollar kick-start in an effort to recover from the COVID-19 health crisis.

But will our leaders focus only on fixing our economic present, or will they also seize this opportunity to safeguard our future?

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to invest in a Green Recovery – a sustainable stimulus package focused on increasing employment and helping Canada transition to a cleaner and more equitable economy.

More than ever, Canada has the chance to tackle biodiversity loss and climate change by growing a green and just economy — and nature can help us.

Hundreds of Canada’s plant and animal species are at risk of extinction, and we’re on track to miss our 2030 emissions target by 77 megatonnes.

But this health crisis has taught us a valuable lesson when we act together, we can overcome even the greatest of obstacles.

This is urgent. Tell the federal government you want Canada investing in nature-based solutions that reduce biodiversity loss and climate change.

Demand a Green Recovery capable of shifting Canada towards a stronger, fairer, and more sustainable society.

A green and just recovery depends on your voice
