WWF applauds electric vehicle announcement by Premier McGuinty

(Toronto – August 9, 2011) WWF welcomes today’s announcement by Premier Dalton McGuinty of funding for electric vehicle charging stations. This is one of a suite of measures taken by the provincial government to promote the use of electric vehicles, along with other initiatives like a rebate available on electric vehicle purchases. Electric vehicles play an important role in WWF’s vision for achieving 100 per cent renewable energy by 2050, as outlined in WWF’s global Energy Report.
