The CN Tower offers a bird’s eye view of the City
The 15th annual Canada Life CN Tower Climb for WWF-Canada has people flocking from Toronto and from as far away as India to participate in this special event. Early birds will fly up the tower beginning at 6:00 a.m. with the last climber finishing the ascent at 11:00 a.m.
“Canada Life is proud to sponsor this exciting event and support all of our employees and their families who have been working hard to raise pledges and train for the climb,” said Jan Belanger, Assistant Vice-President, Community Affairs, Canada Life. “It’s not just the challenge and the fun of the event that appeals to them, but also the opportunity to support the important work of WWF-Canada.”
“This will be my first opportunity to participate in the climb and I am very excited to be a part of it,” said Mike Russill, President and CEO of WWF-Canada. “An event of this magnitude would not be possible without the hard work of our volunteers and the loyalty of the 5,000 climbers who come out each year, as well as the unflagging support of our sponsors, Canada Life and the CN Tower.”
“We at the CN Tower are proud to support this very worthwhile cause over the last 15 years. We encourage everyone to participate and contribute toward preserving the natural wonders of the world by climbing to the top of Canada’s Wonder of the World!” said Jack Robinson, General Manager of the CN Tower.
WWF-Canada works to save nature by conserving species and protecting their habitats; by ensuring our use of renewable resources is sustainable; and by helping individuals, companies and governments reduce pollution.
