Specialist, Email Campaigns and Digital Communications
Position Description
The Specialist, Email Campaigns & Digital Communications is responsible for planning and executing WWF-Canada’s robust email marketing program, building and maintaining content on wwf.ca, and supporting internal teams with their digital needs. A key member of the Digital Communications team, this role will provide leadership and guidance on email marketing best practices in order to leverage the power of email to achieve WWF-Canada’s conservation and fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the organization’s email outreach: increase conversions and engagement and grow list with testing, segmentation and acquisition strategies.
- Maintain the editorial calendar for WWF-Canada email deployments.
- Design, build, deploy and report on multiple email campaigns per month using the Luminate Online platform. This will happen in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, primarily fundraising and conservation teams.
- Work with internal data specialists to manage email list data and segmentation.
- Maintain content for wwf.ca and other online properties using a custom Content Management Systems. This includes quality assurance and debugging. Image sourcing/editing and copy management are also important responsibilities.
- Support internal teams with their content update requirements and being an evangel for digital best practices.
- Collaborate with fundraising teams to create and manage online donation forms for multiple campaigns in both English and French.
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Technology or relevant work experience.
- 2-3 years working in a digital marketing environment with hands on experience managing email programs using a major deployment platform, and all backend web analytics.
- 2-3 years of experience managing web content using Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Good knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and Photoshop.
- Awareness of CASL standards.
- Comfortable dealing with the technical aspects of digital marketing projects. This role needs to be able to bridge the gap between marketing and web development.
- Strong project coordination background with track record of managing multiple projects within given timelines and in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Working knowledge of SEO, SEM and all current social media platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for digital innovation.
- Digital agency and/or not for profit experience is a definite asset but not required.
- Experience with Luminate Online will be considered a strong asset.
- Bilingual in French an asset.

This is a 12-month contract for a maternity leave replacement based out of our Toronto office.
