Specialist, Digital Communication Platforms Innovation

Position Description

The ideal candidate is a high-energy, organized and creative project manager that can operate in a dynamic work environment to lead the identification and implementation of innovative digital communication tools and platforms as well as the optimization of existing ones to position WWF-Canada as a digital communication leader in conservation and fundraising and help achieve WWF-Canada’s conservation and fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to optimize existing WWF-Canada digital communication, platforms, and lead the work to implement those that are the viable.  (These include our primary website and CMS, the WWF-Canada WordPress blog, an ecosystem of issue-specific satellite sites built on various platforms, Blackbaud Luminate and the Shopify e-store).
  • Identify emerging and new digital communication platforms and lead the work to integrate those that are the needed into our digital ecosystem.
  • Work in close collaboration with the rest of the communications team as well as across Development, Conservation and other departments, both in Canada and across the international network.
  • Identify top notch vendors, professionals and partners as needed to accomplish your goals, and lead their work.
  • Ensure budgets achieve top value for each dollar spent to achieve your goals.
  • Ensure timelines are set and met to achieve your goals.
  • Ensure all platforms and tools meet WWF-Canada guidelines, requirements and standards.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Project coordination with a track record of managing multiple projects within given timelines and budgets in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Hands-on and action-oriented with a willingness and desire to take initiative, think critically and be a creative problem solver that can execute on your own and via others
  • Passionate about the web and closely follow evolving trends and innovations in digital communications
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Best practices in SEO and SEM
  • Google Analytics implementation and data analysis; experience with Google Tag Manager preferred
  • Able to manage WordPress multisite network at super admin level
  • Experience with web hosting and domain name management
  • Experienced with marketing automation software
  • Experience with eCommerce systems
  • Up to date on current trends in SAS tools
  • At least three years of related experience in the above
  • Bilingualism in French is an asset

Other Information

This is a fulltime permanent role that is preferred to be based out of our Toronto office but we will consider having the role based out of Montreal, Ottawa, or Halifax for the right candidate.
