Loblaw wins philanthropy award

We nominated Loblaw with the Outstanding Corporation Award to recognize them for their leadership in this field. Loblaw’s $3 million contribution to WWF is helping us mobilize Canadians to take simple but meaningful actions toward sustainable living.
It was also humbling to learn about the efforts of individuals like Brooke Harrison, a 16 year old who has worked tirelessly to raise funds for charities since she was 6 years old, and G. Raymond Chang, who has donated over $12 million to establish the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education and support cutting-edge mental health and addiction research.
It is through these efforts and those of the millions of Canadians who donate and work to make a difference, that we are able to slowly but surely make the world a better place.
I think that Susan Mullin said it best when she quoted from Dr. Seuss, The Lorax: “Unless someone like you, cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.
It’s not.”
A million Panda thank yous to all of you out there who care!
